Donald Trump has signalled he will vote in favour of marijuana legalisation in his home state of Florida in November.
The Republican presidential candidate took to his Truth Social platform to say the measure was highly likely to be voted through and therefore it should be done correctly.
His position puts him at odds with other senior Republicans, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Cannabis is legal for medical use in 38 states, 24 of which have it legal for recreational use.
